This pilgrimage through the streets of Montreal is a commemoration of the Lord’s entrance into Jerusalem, a time when Jesus is acclaimed as King just before he lives the drama of his Passion, his death and his resurrection. It is also an opportunity for young people to witness their faith and hope in Jesus Christ.

Blessing of the Palms

ST-PATRICK’S BASILICA

The Eucharistic Celebration of the Passion of Christ begins at St. Patrick’s Basilica with the blessing of palms and the reading of the Gospel

5PM

Mass

MARY, QUEEN OF THE WORLD CATHEDRAL

This is a solemn moment in the commemoration of the Passion of Christ. It is a calm and sombre time, as participants are invited to re-live the agonising memory of the Lord’s final hour and of his painful life which became a precious gift by His love for us. It is through His Passion that we can celebrate His Resurrection and our own salvation.
