FAQ
Frequently Asked
How is this program different from others?
- Based on almost seventy years of working with children around the world.
- Like a retreat for children, fostering deep engagement and liturgical awareness.
- Individual work depending on the child’s needs and desires, rather than everyone doing the same thing at the same time.
- There is dignity to the children’s activity, not simply playing. They come to understand that they have a role in bringing about God’s kingdom on earth: “the kingdom come”.
- For adults: a fresh approach of encountering God directly through scripture and liturgy. The adult listens and prays alongside the child rather than as a teacher in the front of the room.
Why is the training so intense?
Rather than “training,” this course for adults is a type of “formation” that equips the catechist to accompany children as a spiritual guide. Some participants say that the course itself feels like a retreat.
