World Youth Day and Our Common Home

Arise! Testify to the new way of looking at things that enables you to view creation as our common home and gives you the courage to protect it! In response to the message of Pope Francis in his letter to young people, we are gathering youth in the diocese to help local volunteers to protect a threatened forest in Montreal called the Boisé Dora-Wasserman woodlands (CDN). ENGAGE personally and collectively with the call to action for our common home by assisting to remove invasive species in the woodland. REFLECT on the role of Christians in saving our planet, in light of the Papal encyclical Laudato Si’ .

From local to international, meet young members of Development and Peace who will testify to their faith in action AND discover how an Indigenous community in Cambodia is also defending a threatened forest. LEARN how to take up true solidarity with men and women who suffer the most from climate change.
