Through powerful storytelling and authentic human portrayals, The Chosen<\/em> invites viewers to experience the Gospel in a fresh and relatable way. Each episode draws us into the world of Jesus and the people who walked beside Him \u2014 His disciples, His mother Mary, those He healed and taught, and even those who opposed Him.<\/p>\n

While remaining faithful to the spirit of Scripture, the series imaginatively situates familiar Gospel moments within the rhythms of daily life in first-century Galilee. A synodal journey: embracing community<\/h2>\n

Five Years of Walking Together:
A Community Formed by Encounter<\/strong>
Since Advent 2021, our online community \u2014 across parishes, homes and workplaces \u2014 has embarked on a shared pilgrimage alongside the characters of The Chosen. In Seasons One through Four we walked together: listening attentively to one another, discerning how this Christ-centred narrative invites us to live missionally in our families, our workplaces, our neighbourhoods and our parish communities.<\/p>\n

Inspired by the call of synodality \u2014 \u201cwalking together\u201d in faith, hope and service \u2014 we have sought to live these principles locally through conversation, communal prayer, and concrete action. Our reflections contributed to the diocesan Synodal Report and helped shape our diocesan assembly on 11 June 2022, and thereafter our contribution to the Assembly of Quebec Bishops.<\/p>\n

Living the Jubilee: Pilgrims of Hope Today
<\/strong>As the global synodal process<\/strong> continues to unfold, the invitation remains: to listen, to discern, and to walk forward in communion and mission. In this Jubilee Year 2025 \u2014 Pilgrims of Hope<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 we are especially called to renew our sense of belonging and purpose as a Church on the move, grounded in Christ\u2019s mercy and joy.<\/p>\n

What kind of Church are we being called to be?
<\/strong>As we prepare now to continue with Season Five, this Lent we invite the full breadth of our local church \u2014 newcomers, previous participants, and parish teams \u2014to join us.\u00a0Together, we will explore the themes of <\/span>radical love and compassion,<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>inclusivity, trust in God\u2019s timing, prayer and intimacy with God, faith over fear, and finding joy in suffering,<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

These values speak directly to our lives as disciples in this place \u2014 in our homes, parishes, and workplaces \u2014 as we prepare our hearts for Lent and embrace our call to be pilgrims of hope in today\u2019s world.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s Walk with Jesus Through Holy Week<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Season 5, Episodes 5-8 of The Chosen invite us into the unfolding days of Holy Week. As the path toward the cross becomes clearer, we witness moments of courage, tension, compassion, and deep love. These episodes invite us not simply to watch, but to walk with Jesus, to listen, to notice, and to reflect on how He meets people where they are, especially in moments of uncertainty, fear, and struggle.<\/span><\/p>\n

As we engage with these episodes, we are encouraged to open ourselves to transformation, deepening our prayer, strengthening our relationships, and carrying Christ\u2019s compassion into the world. This is a season not of perfection, but of grace, growth, and walking together in faith.<\/span><\/p>\n
