Package 4 is a 23-day pilgrimage.

Day 1: Departure from Montreal – 07/25/2023

Departure from P.E. Trudeau Airport, Montreal, for your flight with Transat

Day 2: Lisbon – host diocese – 07/26/2023

Arrival at Lisbon airport and transfer to the host diocese by bus.

Day 3: Day in host diocese – 07/27/2023

Program of activities organized by the host diocese in Portugal

Day 4: Day in host diocese – 07/28/2023

Day 5: Day in host diocese – 07/29/2023

Day 6: Day in host diocese – 07/30/2023

Day 7: Host Diocese – Lisbon – 07/31/2023

Transfer from host diocese to Lisbon by bus. (simple accommodation provided by the official WYD organization)

Day 8: WYD Lisbon – 01/08/2023

Opening ceremony of the WYD

Day 9: WYD Lisbon – 02/08/2023

Catechesis morning, WYD Youth Festival events.

Day 10: WYD Lisbon – 03/08/2023

Morning Catechesis, Welcome Ceremonies of the Holy Father.

Day 11: WYD Lisbon – 04/08/2023

Morning catechesis, WYD Youth Festival events, and Way of the Cross.

Day 12: WYD Lisbon – 05/08/2023

Pilgrimage walk, prayer vigil with the Holy Father.

Day 13: WYD Lisbon – 06/08/2023

Morning Mass with the Pope, pilgrimage walk to accommodation.

Day 14: Lisbon – rest day – 07/08/2023

Rest day to enjoy the beach and/or walk around Lisbon.

Day 15: Excursion to Fatima – 08/08/2023

Day trip to Fatima. Return transfer by bus from Lisbon, visit of the sanctuary, free time to visit Fatima (small train ($), houses of the saints, Way of the Cross…), return to Lisbon at the end of the day.

Day 16: LISBON – EVORA -LAGOS – 09/08/2023

On the way, visit of Evora with a local guide. You will discover the largest cathedral in Portugal as well as its cloister, then you will make the unusual visit of the Capela dos Ossos (entrance included). Then we will drive to Faro. Dinner and night.

Day 17: LAGOS -FARO – SEVILLE (411KM) – 10/08/2023

Breakfast at the youth hostel.

Visit the cape of Ponte da Piedade. The cliffs of the Ponta da Piedade Cape are among the most beautiful natural attractions of the Algarve. This spectacular stretch of coastline is made up of rocky protrusions, fragile vaults and secret caves that have been eroded by powerful winter swells.

Afterwards, departure to Faro to visit its cathedral (entrance included).

Free dinner.

Drive to Seville.

Dinner and night.

Day 18: SEVILLE – 11/08/2023

Breakfast at the youth hostel.

Visit of the Sevillian city: its cathedral (entrance included) built on the former Great Mosque (witnessed by the Patio of the Orange Trees and the Giralda, which was the minaret) and the Alcázar of the Catholic Kings (guided tour in supplement). Walk through the Maria Luisa Park to admire the Spanish Plaza (official pavilion of the Ibero-American Expo of 1929).

Dinner at leisure.

Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 19: SEVILLE – CORDOUE – GRENADA – 12/08/2023

Breakfast at the youth hostel.

Day trip to Cordoba.

Guided walk to discover the most significant monuments of Cordoba: the Alcazar of the Christian Kings (exterior) to continue to the Great Mosque-Cathedral (exterior), jewel of the Andalusian Umayyads where the “wood of columns” is impressive. Continue to the Juderia, the old Jewish quarter, through typical streets and charming squares to get to the Synagogue of Cordoba (exterior), the only one left in Andalusia.

Dinner at leisure.

Drive to Granada. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 20: GRENADA – 08/13/2023

Breakfast at the youth hostel.

After breakfast, guided tour of the Alcaicería neighborhood (old souk) and visit to the Royal Chapel (entrance included) where the Catholic Kings are buried.

Dinner at leisure.

In the afternoon, transfer by bus to visit the Alhambra Palace and the Generalife gardens (entrance included) (depending on availability). Between dream and reality, you will be transported through this set of palaces, fortresses and gardens where fountains gush from all sides. Return to your hotel: dinner and overnight.

Day 21: GRENADA – GUADIX – GRENADA – 08/14/2023

Breakfast at the youth hostel.

Its old town has an important heritage where the Arab Alcazaba of medieval origin, the cathedral (entrance included) and several Mudejar style buildings stand out. However, this city is especially characterized by its neighborhoods with their singular troglodyte houses.

Free lunch.

Return to Granada for dinner and overnight.

Day 22: GRENADA – ALMUNECAR – MALAGA – 15/08/2023

Breakfast at the youth hostel.

Drive to the Costa Tropical.

Guided tour of the small Mediterranean city including its castle, its botanical garden, its ruins of fish salting, the alleys of its medina …. Free dinner in the charming resort.

Free afternoon to enjoy the beach.

Dinner and overnight stay in the Malaga area.

Day 23: MALAGA – MALAGA AIRPORT – 08/16/2023

Breakfast at the youth hostel.

Transfer to the airport and end of our services.
