A story to give you hope during these difficult times.

Sister Marianna of Saint Francis of Assisi Parish and Sister Teresa, both volunteers with SASMAD/PHC, were visiting a very ill lady living on the Plateau. She was not always available for a visit, but when the COVID-19 restrictions were put in place, she asked for a visit. As the sisters could not enter her residence, they gave the communion to her daughter who brought it for them. The sisters watched through the opened window of the lady’s room and prayed with her. They began to sing with her, in front of the window and heard her voice through the window. This was a moment of grace for her and for our volunteers.
At their last visit with this lady, she requested they pray that the Lord would take her to Heaven. She died a few days later.
